Study load and weekly commitment

International students complete the program full-time on campus. The published study schedule includes 20 hours of structured learning each week, consisting of approximately 14 hours of face-to-face delivery and six hours of structured learning.

Students should also allow approximately 10 to 15 hours each week for independent study, research, assessment preparation and project work. A standard full-time load is eight subjects across the year, with a maximum of four subjects in a trimester.

Entry requirements

Minimum age: Students must be at least 18 years old before commencing the designated study period.

Academic entry: Australian Year 12 with an ATAR of at least 55, or an accepted international equivalent. An Australian Certificate IV or another eligible AQF Level 4 qualification may also satisfy the academic entry route.

English language: IELTS Academic overall 6.0, with at least 6.0 in Reading and 5.5 in Writing, Speaking and Listening, or an accepted equivalent result.

Personal interview: Applicants must complete an interview with Nexus Institute before receiving a Letter of Offer. The interview considers academic readiness, motivation, resilience, available resources and commitment to the course.
